We have to decide on a few things, as the painted ceiling. I sent you an invoice
from Meriguet for 90.000 euros, for faux painting the four panels. These are faux
moldings and coffers, with the central part in an irregular blue that goes from
light to dark. The invoice was sent to you July 6th.
I just spoke with Monpoint, who is working here in New York for me, (he is the
artist who did the central panel) and for continuing the ceiling in its 4 sides,
simplified and less busy than the centre, he would do it for 100 000 euros,
although we need to do the installation apart. (shouldn't be expensive). .In my
opinion,as this was the original project, close as you have it in the rendering, it
would complete the ceiling as it should be. As a third option, Fancelli could do it
in wood, but this will be as much as twice in cost, and not the best solution, and
if you decide on painters in-situ, just the scaffolding will cost more than 25.000
US.
Do not forget also that you have not ordered the leather for the shutters, it was
invoiced again July 6th. Remember that the shutters are not finished, they were
built for leather.
Fancelli revised his travel expenses and came down to 8.000 euros max, for this
his last trip. Please advice.J.P.
