Good Afternoon Dr. =rauss,
Our expectation for the =eetings is that you will provide a response to each question that is =osed to the best of
your ability. If you wish to supplement your =esponse(s), you are certainly permitted to do so within a reasonable
=imeframe following the meeting. If Erin or I have additional questions =or you, following the receipt of any
supplemental responses or =nformation, we will schedule a follow-up meeting with you.
You are welcome to bring a =upport person to the meetings with you. However, this individual cannot =e
someone who may also serve as a witness in our process and they will =ot be permitted to participate in the meeting.
I look forward to meeting =ith you again next week.
All the best,
Carla

Subject: Meetings on Tues
Dear Erin and Carla:
>
>; =rin Ellison <
Following =n Carla's expectation, as described below, for our meeting on =uesday, I would like to clarify all of
our expectations for the =rocedure of each of the meetings on Tuesday. I have expected =hat these meetings would be
primarily informational meetings, in the =ense that you would provide me details and context, and that I can ask
=uestions to help me further understand these details, their context, =nd their relationship to ASU policies. There are
some cases where = may be able to provide some immediate responses, but my expectation is =hat in general I will be
surprised, and potentially upset by some of =he material you present to me, and I am concerned about framing an
=dequate response under those conditions. Thus, I think it =ould be more useful, and fair, for this first meeting to be
primarily =n opportunity for me to receive information and feedback, and then to =ave a subsequent meeting at which I
will have the opportunity to =rovide useful information to you in response. Without specifics =t this time, it is hard for
me to clearly determine what will be =ecessary, so this seems a reasonable approach to me. Does this =ound
reasonable to each of you?
Also, I =anted to confirm that I have the option to bring along a support person =o the meeting if I think it will be
helpful. Is that acceptable =o each of you?
Thanks for your consideration of these =ssues.

Hi =r. Krauss,

In terms of my investigation, the information =elow is what I am planning to cover during our in-person
meeting. =uring our in-person meeting I will share with you the context of this =nformation, have some questions for
you, and of course will provide you =ith an opportunity to respond or provide any new information. If after =ur in-person
meeting you have additional questions, or would like to =rovide other information, you are welcome to do so.
I will keep you informed of the status of the =nvestigation and as I near the conclusion you will have a

Thanks for this. I should perhaps have been =learer about my original question though. In order to
better be =repared for our meeting I would like to know if you will be providing =e with the additional information in
advance of our meeting. =nbsp; Also, will that be the only occasion to respond to the =nformation, and/or present other
new information or request further =nformation? If not, what kind of timeframe should I expect? =nbsp; Thanks again. I
do appreciate your getting back to =e.
