From: Sent: Friday, January 24, 2020 12:35 AM To: Cc: Subject: travel memo and docs Hey so this is *much* more annoying and complicated than it was when I traveled to England back in 2015, and just to flag one thing in particular, I think there's a chance I won't get approval to go because my official passport is valid but expires in five months, and there's supposed to be six months of runway on that. (Frustratingly, two weeks ago today I emailed to ask him about this exact issue, and he said it wasn't a problem, so ... yeah.) In any event, it used to be that the answers for all travelers could go on one form, which apparently is no longer the case, so there's a questionnaire for each of us — I tried to fill it out accurately but please take a look and see if I made any mistakes. And also, for the life of me I cannot find anywhere that identifies which countries are "high-threat" (for Q9), but Sweden is the lowest level of risk on the State Department website so I put no. Also, I think that as of 2019 even if you're not going to a high-threat area you need to complete the HTSOS training. I put no for you on those questions and in the memo, but if that's not correct please let me know and I'll update. (Because I'm a lunatic, I do all emailed trainings within a couple days of them being assigned so I did that one a long time ago.) And based on Q12 it looks like you and I need to do a DO1-504, whatever that is, since we're TS/SCI. And just trying to ut everything in one place, attached is an email with a link to the iPhone Travel Request Form, and I'll separately email as required, and copy everybody. I'll also email the draft travel memo to which is apparently the next step with all this, and Maurene you also have the draft for your passport stuff (and obviously let me know if any issues with the memo, and also if you send me back your finalized questionnaires, respectively, I'll send them all to OIA with our itineraries as well for their approval, as well as to EOUSA. Please also send me your HTSOS training certificates once you have them. And let me know if I'm forgetting anything?? And we'll see how it goes!!
