To: (USANYS)" 1. 11 aNIMIE Subject: Note to file - Convo with USVI Date: Wed, 29 Sep 2021 14:46:15 +0000 Importance: Normal I spoke with I told her that our three-year investigation encompassed conduct not just in NY but also FL, NM and USVI; that the scope of the charged conspiracy covers conduct in the USVI; From: Sent: Monday, September 27, 2021 5:15 PM To: (USANYS) ‹ > Subject: Epstein Good afternoonlift I understand that your office has taken the lead on investigating the alleged sex trafficking and related offenses of Jeffrey Epstein and his associates, while my office has taken the lead on investigating the financial dealings of Epstein and his associates near the time of his death. Without wanting to upset that division of labor or step on any toes, my office is nonetheless interested in reviewing any evidence of sex trafficking or related offenses that may have occurred here in the USVI which your office has either chosen not to prosecute or has determined that it does not have venue or jurisdiction to prosecute. In other words, we don't want crimes to go unpunished merely because of the way our two offices have thus far decided to divide up the investigation. By way of example only, recent press reports indicate that victim claims to have been trafficked by Epstein and caused to have sex with Prince Andrew while she was a minor and that at least some of that conduct occurred here in the USVI. Does your office believe it can establish venue/jurisdiction to pursue any charge that could be brought against any person based on that alleged conduct? If not, my office will be inclined to investigate that further and we would appreciate your cooperation in sharing with us any information you have relevant to the inquiry. The same is true of any other possible criminal offenses occurring here which cannot be adequately addressed by SDNY. Please feel free to call me to discuss this matter at your convenience. I look forward to talking with you and to working with you and your office to ensure that all offenders are appropriately brought to justice. We would also welcome involvement of members of your team in any prosecution related to Epstein down here; we are a small district with limited resources but that won't stop us from pursuing justice.
