Following up on the email exchange between the FBI and
we got the emails, which are attached (they
start as the same thread, but
deleted one of her emails in the chain she forwarded to
so it ends up
being two different ones). We'll reiterate that it's preferable to be in touch with victims in real-time, but honestly I don't
think there's anything in here that reflects poorly on the FBI folks at all—they have been working in good faith to try to get
her resources but had not gotten a response to her after multiple emails.
It appears that
was extremely unhappy about the press conference and that seems to have precipitated her
reaction (for reasons that are not immediately clear from the email exchange). Following the press conference, she
