- following up on the discussions with
attorney a couple weeks ago, we got this attorney proffer
this evening. In addition to being remarkably thorough, it's pretty interesting; she was in the thick of things in the period
that we primarily investigated and much of her account provides additional confirmation of what we already know, but
there are also a few relevant additions.
A couple things I thought looked especially relevant:
I think we'd want to hear from her about Epstein telling her "that Maxwell was the 'original girl finder' (and on
the legal side we'd want to figure out if we could get into evidence in any prosecution against Maxwell).
It might be useful in connection withMto see what made
believe
was likely a victim.
Unfortunately I think we would want to see if she remembers the names of other girls Epstein induced her to
have sexual contact with, particularly to the extent that corroborates the accounts of others (and even if it's not
directly related to Maxwell).
It's very interesting that she says Epstein asked her to be with multiple friends of his — I believe (?) this is the first
person other than IN who has had that account. She wasn't close to being underage, but I think we'd still very
much want to know who those friends were, in case they were also being visited by underage victims, and/or
whether that caused Epstein to have any influence over them, etc.
Anybody else have initial thoughts? I think ideally we could interview her during an existing trip to California, and/or
follow up with her attorney on some of these initial questions in the first instance.

Dear
Attached, in letter format, please find a version of an Attorney Proffer regarding
involvement with Epstein. At the end, I have also included an outline of
how he operated.

The foregoing is a culmination of a series of interviews with my client and I believe that it represents her
potential testimony. Obviously, I am not certain whether any of the information presented is new to you or
helpful to your investigation.
My take away is that there is no doubt that
is a victim; she suffers to this day. At the same time there
were other people looking to introduce girls to Epstein. This pattern apparently was ongoing for decades.

she found out that Epstein was arrested in Florida.
Should you feel that an interview is necessary, please propose a couple of dates before January 20, 2020 (I
have an upcoming trial in late January). I will make my conference room available for the interview.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely.

Jeff,
Following up on our phone conversation today, I wanted to memorialize that, as discussed, we do not currently have
reason to believe Ms.
has criminal exposure based on what we are aware of in connection with her interactions
with Jeffrey Epstein, and your brief attorney proffer regarding the circumstances of those interactions are consistent with
that view. In your further discussions with Ms.
in advance of a further attorney proffer to address the general
nature of her relationship with Mr. Epstein, as well as his employees or relevant close associates, if you have any concerns
about additional possible exposure you should please feel free to be in touch with us again. As we also discussed, I
believe any non-federal offenses would be well outside the relevant statute(s) of limitation, but of course if you wish to
further research that issue, or consult with criminal counsel, we defer to you entirely.
Please let us know if any other information would be useful at this stage, and hopefully we can be in touch in the coming
weeks about productive next steps.
