I just spoke with her. She will send me the FOIA complaint later this evening, but in short it's a FOIA case brought by a
news outlet, and the case has been pending for a while. They're currently on a three-year document production schedule,
producing about 500 documents per month. She said that if we wanted, she'd be happy to have a joint call with the FBI
legal counsel handling this, if we wanted to find out what has been disclosed, and talk about whether/how they're being
careful not to disclose materials from the NY case file. I said I would discuss how to handle and circle back with her.

My fiancé told me he was talking to a colleague at civil about FOIA cases on their dockets, and the colleague said she
was working on a FOIA case relating to Epstein. He told me about it afterwards.

We heard second-hand from a colleague that our civil division is processing a FOIA request relating to the
Epstein investigation (but unclear on specifics). Obviously this is the first we've heard of it, and understandable
that there wouldn't be cross-communication since the criminal investigation is still covert (and not widely
known even among assistants), but it still is a little puzzling in terms of why such a review would be venued
here. Do you who the right person would be in civil to ask about FOIA processes there? We're happy to reach
out if that's appropriate, or if you prefer to do it at the supervisor level certainly no objection from us.
