Which is complete rubbish. What are DOJ confidentiality rules? From the Times website this morning: `The duke's legal team is expected to release a statement today in reaction to the disclosure of the MLA request. A source close to his legal team said: "Legal discussions with the DOJ are subject to strict confidentiality rules, as set out in their own guidelines. We have chosen to abide by both the letter and the spirit of these rules, which is why we have made no comment about anything related to the DOJ during the course of this year. We believe in playing a straight bat."' `Straight bat' is nonsense. This is what is as known (in cricket at least) as a defensive bat — plainly meant to deflect the pitch. I think we should be immediately clarifying things, either on the record or off the record. If it is off the record, then I can work with our press officer here at Post on that. Sony to bother you at the weekend. There's a report just out that DOJ issued a MLAT request to the UK last month regarding Prince Andrew to force him to answer questions in the Epstein EFTA00101179 investigation: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/I1805488/prince-andrew-quizzed-over-jeffrey-epstein-links/ Is that something you could guide me on as to its accuracy? And do you have any comment/statement at all? Any help would be much appreciated.
