Which is complete rubbish. What are DOJ confidentiality rules? From the Times website this morning: `The duke's legal team is expected to release a statement today in reaction to the disclosure of the MLA request. We believe in playing a straight bat."' `Straight bat' is nonsense. This is what is as known (in cricket at least) as a defensive bat — plainly meant to deflect the pitch. I think we should be immediately clarifying things, either on the record or off the record. If it is off the record, then I can work with our press officer here at Post on that.
