When I went to Quantico we found that the system had lost two drives. One drive had failed a couple weeks before the second drive (I don't remember the exact date). The second drive failed on August 8th, which caused the raid array to fail. The recorders are designed to allow one drive to fail, after two drives fail you lose recording. We would appreciate it if you can provide us with a written summary/report of your findings after your examination of the drives (i.e., when the drives failed, how it failed, what actions were taken to fix the drives, if any data was recovered, etc.) Also, please provide me with a copy of any email communications you or your office had with the FBI regarding this matter.
