M, see the below info from El on staffing. Note the absence information below. This reflects one of the signi
ficant challenges in the NY area, simply getting people to come to work. On Friday August 9 28 officers did not
show for work and there were 23 overtime occurrences. So, if everyone came to work, theoretically there would
not have been a need for any OT that day. For the two staff in SHU, their OT was as follows:
Noel - She worked on 8/9 4pm-12am as her regular shift. She stayed and worked 12am-
8am as OT. Prior to 8/9 she had not worked OT since 8/3.
EFTA00143170
Thomas - His regular schedule is as a Warehouse Worker Foreman and this is a M-F 8-
4 job. He worked OT on 7/30, 8/6, 8/7, 8/9, and 8/10. His OT is all on morning watch 12am-
8am. These are all voluntary OT that he signed up for. In addition, this means that he finished his regular shift at
4pm on 8/9 and was off until his OT shift began at midnight. Many staff seek OT in order to supplement their lo
w salaries.
