Subject: RE: Maxwell and evidence questions / status
Date: Mon, 20 Apr 2020 18:16:43 +0000
Importance: Normal
Hi
As
mentioned in her email, we're continuing to move forward in our discussions with our supervisors about
Maxwell, including charging decisions, and they've asked us to get some specifics on the status of locating her—in
particular, our criminal division chief has instructed us to ask for the most current and detailed info on her whereabouts
(and what that information is based on). So if you could please let us know that information, including at least the
following:
When the last reported direct sighting of her is, where that sighting occurred, and who the person is who saw her
o How many sightings there have been of her in that general location, and over what time period
The address you believe she's currently residing at, and the background of our belief for that (I believe this is her
supposed boyfriend's residence in Massachusetts, but if you could please let us know whatever details support that)
Any surveillance the FBI has done, or is willing to do, in the coming weeks
o We had suggested a pole cam, package deliveries by a UC, and physical surveillance, and I don't believe any of
those have yet been attempted but please let us know if that's wrong
With respect to the phone number, I know we believe she may be using 917-520-3106 because it's registered to her
entity, the "Terramar Project." Do we have reason to believe that she specifically is using that number (rather than an
associate or other employee of the Terramar Project, for example)?
o Also regarding that number, could you please send us any location information? I know we were up on a pen
register from approximately October through mid-March. Please also let us know if you need that
reactivated, I believe it expired about a month ago.
o Please also send us the toll analysis of the numbers she is calling, as that will help us to confirm that Maxwell
herself is using that phone
And if there's anything else we're forgetting let us know — thanks.
On two other quick subjects — we had sent the privilege terms (for taint extraction) a little over a month ago — have you
guys been able to start review of the search warrant returns? Our understanding from Flatley is that although the AUSAs
don't have the search warrant return materials because the export to Relativity has been problematic, that you guys
should have access to everything through your systems.
And finally, we continue to be in desperate need of the outstanding 302s, especially the last
interview which
was about two months ago — we have the hand-written notes but we're not able to read everything, and it would be
helpful to have the formal 302 account. Also just more generally, I think we have approximately 41 interview 302s that we
haven't yet received. I know you're continuing to work on those but wanted to check on status, especially for
Thanks as always, please let us know if any other info from us would be helpful, and talk soon.
