June 8, 2021 AUSA SA Det Prep • was part of burglary investigation at JE's Palm Beach residence. JE said cash was taken from briefcase. Had security cameras in the office, but videos were low quality. JE said was not uncommon for him to keep $12,000 or $20,000 in cash in the briefcase. o • did not go upstairs during the burglary investigation, but was inside JE's house o After Epstein burglary case, • told Epstein that PBPD didn't have any video enhancement technology, JE offered to buy the tech, which cost $50,000. • was present when JE met with Chief during which JE offered to donate the tech. Went through the formal donation process, and the department did end up receiving the tech. • never met any of the witnesses who were interviewed during the PBPD investigation into JE for sex crimes • • recalls seeing JE jogging around town, usually alone but occasionally with a girl • has reviewed publicly available PBPD reports regarding JE investigation for sex crimes. • During PBPD October 20, 2005 search of JE's PB residence, the evidence team was M, and wrote down most of the inventory, but recognizes his handwriting on items 27 through 33 on the inventory (NCV means "No Cash Value"). • recalls inventorying the green massage table and recalls seeing what appeared to be sperm on the table. o did not see any weapons in the house o does not recall any evidence being taken from the barracks or the cabana • Showed video from October 20, 2005 PBPD SW of JE PB residence o • filmed this entire video. • The first part was from the protective sweep. • The second part was reading the warrant. • The third part was the walk-through after the sweep but before conducting the search. • The fourth part was the walk-through after the search I voice can be heard at the beginning of the post-search walk-through). So can identify and authenticate photographs of search that do not show opened drawers or items taken from drawers. o Photos with brown paper background appear to have been taken back at the PBPD office.
