I will update the formal SITRUP and forward when complete: o On 08/15/2019, FBINY/OIG downloaded the activity logs for the computer shared by the guards at the guard station on Epstein's tier. OIG will be conducting a detailed analysis of the logs to determine dates/times it was used, programs used, and websites visited o On 08/16/19, USAO-SDNY and FBI NY conducted a case strategy session. As a result of the strategy session A certified appraisal was completed for the NY residence with the value determined to be $86,250,000. o On 08/16/2019, FBINY interviewed the following MCC BOP Inmates. The inmates were housed at MCC on the same EFTA00165466 tier as Epstein: Inmate Leonardo Fernandez, Inmate Christopher Santos Felix, and Inmate Edward Jimenez. NSTR from the interviews. o On 08/16/2019 FBINY interviewed former MCC BOP Inmate Efrain Reyes. Reyes was the last cellmate to Epstein. Reyes stated, Epstein had made statements about not being able to spend the rest of his life in prison. Epstein believed he was looking at a long prison sentence because of the deal he received in Miami. Reyes was pending a transfer to another facility and urged Epstein not to try another suicide attempt because it could get Reyes in trouble. Epstein was being evaluated by the MCC Psychologist but Epstein insisted he was ok. Reyes was not aware of any other inmates who had harassed, threatened, or assaulted Epstein. Reyes was not aware of any MCC Staff who had harassed or attempted to extort Epstein. Reyes knew what the MCC Guards were doing and if they were sleeping because Reyes could observe the Guard desk from the window in the cell he shared with Epstein. When Reyes was being transferred, Reyes said goodbye to Epstein, and observed Epstein seemed upset over Reyes leaving. o On 08/16/2019, FBINY interviewed MCC CO MCC. CO was showed a photograph of a lawyer and the interview was terminated. FBINY seized CO at USAO SDNY. stated there were no issues at and asked if he knew her. immediately requested cellular phone pursuant to a Search Warrant. o On 08/16/2019, FBINY served three search warrants and took possession of two cellular phones from and one cellular phone from MCC CO . The cellular phones will be turned over to FBI CART on Monday, 08/19/2019 for analysis. o On 08/16/2019, FBINY reviewed Epstein's MCC commissary account. There was $566.00 USD left on the account. There was nothing suspicious of Epstein's use of the commissary account. o On 08/16/2019, FBINY/OIG served 9 Federal Grand Jury Subpoena's for MCC Employees to provide testimony to a Federal Grand Jury in SDNY on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. (staff psychologist) chief psychologist) o On 08/16/2019 FBINY served Fal Subpoena's for subscriber information and toll records for cellular phones belonging to MCC BOP CO Michael Thomas and CO Tova Noel. o On 08/16/2019 FBINY opened Case 90C-NY-3154599 for the illegal narcotics and smuggling activity at MCC. o On 08/17/2019, FBINY ERT conducted a 3D video recording, photograph's, and measurements of MCC Special Housing Unit (SHU) Guard area, camera angles, and Epstein's cell block.
