I corrected the information that was inadvertently switched in "stayed" section of the last status update creating some confusion. In sum, stays have been granted on 8 litigations. 3 additional Motions to Stay are still pending. The NDCA denied a Motion to Stay in one of the litigations as premature while the NDIL issued a standing order staying all civil cases in which the US Attorney's Office has appeared as counsel of record. Each morning LSU/FO will confer and LSU will send out an updated list. As background, the last time we had an extended shutdown—most, but not all Courts, granted stays. Case stayed. Case has been stayed by the Court and any personnel supporting that case will revert to non-excepted status (unless supporting other open lit cases). Stay Pending. A stay is being filed by the pertinent USAO, but has not yet been granted by the Court. If all work on the next release is finished, the supporting FOIPA Unit GIS will provide the release package to LSU and then revert to non- excepted status (unless supporting other open lit cases).
