For your awareness: Due to concerns over the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak, uncertain border restrictions, and limited access to adequate medical care in certain affected areas, a 30-day restriction on international official travel for nonessential operations has been implemented for all FBI employees, effective immediately. - This restriction applies to any location outside of the United States (to include all 50 states and the U.S. territories). - All overseas training and temporary duty assignments will be cancelled during this timeframe. If you have urgent operational travel planned outside of the United States (to include all 50 states and the U.S. territories) and need to request an exemption from this restriction, as soon as possible. cop please email your operational unit at FBIHQ and If you determine this trip to be operationally necessary, please seek a waiver through IOD. Once AD Spencer approves your trip you can submit your BEACON and eCC and London will approve. Let me know if you have any questions. You had reached out a little over a month ago regarding some public statements made by the US attorney's office regarding this case. On a slightly separate issue, I wanted to touch base regarding a possible witness in London that is crucial to this investigation. The AUSAs assigned to this case have been in touch with this witness's attorney and she is cooperative and willing to speak with us in London. Things are tentative right now, based on travel restrictions and such. But I wanted to touch base with you about what you may need from us on our end to make sure things run smoothly. Communication from our AUSAs is that this witness is available on March 19, with the possibility of postponing. Thanks, SA FBI-New York, C-20 Cell: Desk: Classification: UNCLASSIFIED Classification: UNCLASSIFIED EFTA00174965
