I write to clarify statements we made concerning the significance of the debit/credit card statement we produced. As it stands, I am afraid my failure to inform you that Mr. Epstein's birthday is January 20th, may have left some confusion as to how the statement relates to the allegations. For ease of reference an additional copy of the statement is annexed hereto. The debit/credit card statement is from Chase account. It reflects a $122.21 purchase at Guys and Dolls, an adult vtostor i. ...Wm West Palm Beach. According to the statement, the urchase was made on January 20, 2005 — Jeffrey Epstein's birthday — at a time when whose date of birth is December 30, 1986, was clearly 18 years of age. At our meeting on February 1, 2007, you asked how we were sure this statement related to the events in question. The best response would have been to refer you to Mil own words. In her sworn statement of October 11, 2005, she referred several times to an occasion when she and purchased and used sex ti s, an event which a herself described as a "birthday gift" to Epstein. Specifically, stated that "... foilEpstein's] birthday, and 1 went shopping. And um, we got a bunch of toys, [laughs] .. .".
