This new card helps protect you at chip-compatible terminals. which are becoming the standard around the globe. What is Changing • A debit card with chip technology will be sent to all cardholders on your account and will arrive by September 17. 2015. • You will receive an email when the card is mailed. • Chip compatible terminals will require the card to be inserted instead of swiped. • At chip compatible terminals, a PIN number may be required for transactions. If you currently have a PIN, it will work on your new card. • Effective August 1, 2015, UBS will deduct hinds from your account daily to pay for your purchase and ATM transactions. What you need to do • Once you receive the new chip debit card, please activate it immediately and begin using it. If you do not know your PIN number, set one when you activate your card. • Note your current UBS magnetic stripe debit card will stop working on September 25, 2015. It is imperative that you activate your new chip debit card immediately upon receipt. • If you have not received a new UBS card by Monday.
