Epstein encouraged his victims to recruit additional girls, then would pay both the victim and victim-recruiter in cash. Epstein had employees who would set up the appointments. The indictment was sealed and an arrest warrant was issued out of SDNY. On July 6, 2019, Epstein was arrested at Tederbom Airport in New Jersey in reference to the above indictment. Also on July 6, 2019, a search warrant for Epstein's residence at 9 East 71st Street, New York, New York was sworn out and executed, and several items were seized. Upon review of the seized items images of child erotica were observed.
