Universal Models for Peace are part of supporting The Atom Project! The Atom Project is a global
campaign collecting signatures to a petition in support of The international Comprehensive Nuclear Test
Ban Treaty adopted by the United Nations. The petition is meant to encourage the world's leaders to put a
stop to nuclear weapons testing and increase stability in global partnerships for development. Universal
Models for Peace helps raise awareness and support the signing of the petition among the young and
expanded international community.

Universal Models for Peace are part of supporting the Newark Peace Education Summit The Power of
Non-Violence! The Newark Peace Education Summit "is a three day conference focusing on peacemaking
practices from around the world. It features panels and workshops with His Holiness the XlVth Dalai
Lama, Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Somaly Mam, Nobel Laureates and peace advocates from a wide cross
section of cultures, disciplines and perspectives. The summit will explore the programs, policies, and
methods used by communities to establish peace, why and how they work, and how to replicate them in
America and around the world."
Universal Models for Peace were speakers at the summit side-by-side with Alyn Ware Global Coordinator,
Parliamentarians for Nuclear Nonproliferation and Disarmament.

Universal Models for Peace are part of supporting the Peace Boat! The Peace Boat is a NGO which works
to promote peace and human rights while utilizing a neutral, mobile space and enabling people to engage
across boarders in dialogue and mutual co-operation at sea. Their use of a neutral, mobile space, gives them
a unique platform to engage cross-culturally to develop dialogue and cooperation on humanitarian issues.

A discourse Analysis Regarding Recruitment and Ethnic Diversity with a Special Emphasis
on the Romany Studient Aid. VDM Verlag

This study aimed to investigate how principals in Stockholm as recruiters talked about the recruitment
process and ethnic diversity and how these statements could affect the possibilities of a Romany acquiring
a Student Aid position within the school in question. The statements are interpreted through a discursive
perspective inspired by Foucault and Laclau & Mouffe with a special focus on the power aspect and its
consequences in terms of inclusion and exclusion. The result presented that defining the right and wrong
person for the job is the central theme (nodal point) in the discourse were the Romanies are seen as just
almost right as their competence mainly works as a complement to the existing work-force.
