A. I don't recall.
Q. And when Judge Pauley advised you that you should get a
lawyer, retain a lawyer, you told him, "I'll retain myself or
my husband, the convicted felon," is that correct?
A. If it's written somewhere I probably said it. I don't
specifically recall, sorry.
Q. So you don't remember telling the Court that you would
either retain yourself or your husband the convicted felon?
. Where are you directing me to look at?
. I'm asking you if you remember it, ma'am?
. Not specifically.
Do you have memory problems?
. Certainly not.
. Certainly not, Never had blackouts, I take it?
A. ITremember every day of this trial.

any stocks or bonds, you replied to the Court “none of your
business." Is that correct?
A. If it's in the transcript, I probably said it, sir. I
don't specifically recall.
Q. First I'm just asking if you remember it.
A, No, not offhand,
Q. So let's look at the transcript on page 12, You are asked
on line 13, "Do you own any stocks or bonds?"
And you said to the Court on line 14, "None of your
business,"
Does that refresh your memory that when the Court
asked a question about your ownership of stocks and bonds you
said "none of your business"?

Q. But it was the Court's business, was it not?
A. That I -- I don't know.
Q. Why did you say "none of your business"?
A. It's probably what I felt at the time.
Q. Now, when Judge Pauley asked you or instructed you to take

Q. Did you remember that on March I and 2nd of 2011 or did you
forget?
A. Sir, I did not reveal that to the Court.
Q. Did you remember it was my question.
A. Well, I'm answering part two of your question that's not
asked yet, but yes.
Q. So you did remember that, right?
A. To repeat it a third time, yes.
Q. Now, Ms. Conrad, do you remember that at the start of the
voir dire in this case Judge Pauley explained the purpose of
voir dire?
A. I believe so, yes.
Q. Do you remember that he explained that voir dire means to
speak the truth. Do you remember that?
A. Yes, sir,
Q. And do you remember that Judge Pauley explained to you and
everybody else on the venire that that's precisely what you had
just been sworn to do, to speak the truth.
A. Veneer, yes.
Q. Do you remember that he explained to you that the purpose,
the purpose of voir dire was to make sure that we have a jury
of citizens who will decide the issues in this case fairly and |
impartially and without any bias or prejudice in favor of
either side or against either side. Do you remember saying
that?
