I am writing to provide an accurate response to a request that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (the "FDLE") sent on July 25, 2013 to the email address jeffrey@jeffreyeostein.org seeking confirmation as to whether or not that email address is used by a registered sexual offender in the State of Florida. The FDLE's request provided only two options for a response, either: (1) the email address is used by a registered sex offender or predator in the State of Florida, or (2) the email address belongs to someone who is not a registered sex offender or predator in the State of Florida and no person required to register as a sexual offender or predator has access or permission to use this email address. In actuality, neither of the offered choices is accurate. The email address jeffrey@jeffreyenstein.orp was established by one of the third-party internet reputation management service providers engaged by Mr. Epstein. These third party service providers independently create internet accounts, websites, blog sites, associated email addresses and other web-based accounts and content concerning Mr. Epstein and his scientific and philanthropic activities, but which are neither EFTA00306059 Florida Department of Law Enforcement Florida Offender and Tracking Services July 30, 2013 Page 2 created nor used by Mr. Epstein. Out of an abundance of caution, however, Mr. Epstein has been disclosing and will continue to disclose to the FDLE such internet- related information, as disclosed to him by the internet reputation management service providers. In this particular case, the email address jeffrey@ieffreyeostein.org was independently created one of these internet reputation management service providers engaged by Mr. Epstein and is associated with a number of links, websites, and accounts relating to Mr. Epstein and his business, scientific and/or philanthropic activities, but Mr. Epstein does not himself access or use this email address and has never done so.
