Rene is honest, hard working and willing to undertake anything that is asked of him. We have a large vegetable garden, a cutting garden, a rose garden and a perennial border. There is also a fruit orchard and two or three acres of lawn to be mowed. In addition, there are two relatively small greenhouses. Rene has been involved in the care and maintenance of all of these elements. When he first arrived from Belgium, he needed to learn more about American soil, pests and pesticides as well as plants. He has applied himself diligently to these tasks and has been the right-hand man of our very able senior gardener.
